In his inaugural address, then newly elected President Trump promised the American people "carnage", and by the end of this presidency he had delivered on this promise in spades. With lies he successfully divided a nation that exists in opposition and conflict. He not only mishandled and diminished the potency of Covid-19, but did so knowing full well the danger and deadly effects of the virus. He threatened to send troops to clear protestors outside of the White House and organized an insurrection in the wake of his defeat in the 2020 election. He is directly responsible for the deaths of Americans during the Covid-19 pandemic and those who died during the Capitol Insurrection of January 6th.

Whether he intended it or not, his actions would become a love letter to dictators around the world that would be read over and over again with adoration.. They would view his lies and crimes and realize the bigger the lie, the more ridiculous the argument, the greater the opportunity for aggression and despotic action to take root amongst the minds of a stupid and manipulated populace trying to make sense of ideas they could not understand; and so eager to latch on to ideas that could be more easily digested even if they lacked one iota of truth. Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine is textbook Trump in it's false justification that the Ukrainians are nazis that threaten ethnic Russian citizens of Ukraine and so they need to be liberated by the would be Russian empire. Everyday the Ukrainian military is shoving this lie down Russian throats, but through monopolization of State television and social media, Putin has managed to convince some of the Russian people that his lie is true, even if it is only for some of the time.
